Issa Hawatmeh

Issa Hawatmeh is an Attorney at OnePrime Capital, where he sits at the intersection of the Investment and Operations teams. On the investment side, he sources, diligences, and helps finalize investment decisions alongside the firm’s deal team. On the operations side, he supports legal and compliance matters, including regulatory diligence and deal negotiation. Prior to joining OnePrime Capital, Issa was an emerging growth and venture capital corporate attorney at Perkins Coie LLP, where he represented high-growth privately held companies, investors and venture capital funds, negotiating and closing over $300M in aggregate venture transactions.

Before becoming an attorney, Issa was heavily involved in the technology ecosystem. He worked at two unicorn companies at the intersection of technology and legal operations – first at Ironclad, Inc., a leading contract lifecycle management platform, where he worked on contract analytics and workflow processes for enterprise clients, and then at Upgrade, Inc., a fintech unicorn, where he helped build out legal operations infrastructure during a period of rapid company growth. He also consulted at early-stage venture-backed startups, working closely with founders and business principals. Issa holds a J.D. from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco and a B.S. in bioengineering from the University of California, Riverside.
